Introduction

Welcome to the website of Fluid Power Transmissions eindhoven (FPTe) of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Department of Mechanical Engineering.
These pages provide information on the educational and research activities of FPTe and the people associated with FPTe.
Until 1st of September 2001 Fluid Power Transmissions was fully integrated in Power Transmissions & Tribology (PT&T).
The faculty of Mechanical Engineering decided to split up the activities of PT&T after the director of this group accepted the appointment of dean in the new Department of Industrial Design.
Since then Fluid Power Transmissions eindhoven (FPTe) is part of Control Systems Technology (CST) in the group Dynamics and Control Technology (DCT).
Consequently the activities (education and research) of FPTe will change in future from embedded in Power Transmissions to embedded in Dynamics and Control Technology.
Prof.dr.ir. M. Steinbuch is the director of Control Systems Technology.

Fluid Power Transmissions eindhoven is a FPN Member Laboratory (Dutch node) in Fluid Power Net International


International Fluid Power Research Network
Fluid Power Net International is a research network of National FPN sites which provide information about, and links to world-wide research and industrial activities in the field of Fluid Power.
It provides overview of research, development and education activities carried out at the Universities and R&D Centres.
